Format
A bar will be set up at the venue and a demonstration will be given by professional bartenders showing how to make some of the most popular and well-known cocktails.  During the event guests will be able to socialise and network and in their own time go behind the bar and try making them for themselves. Two rounds of cocktails will be served throughout the event.

Overview:
This interactive cocktail making event is a winning night away from the office, where guests spend the afternoon or evening learning a new skill - the ageless art of cocktail making.

This fun, shared experience offers the perfect environment for colleagues to bond and includes a selection of team building games that will get everybody working together.

Throughout the event, guests are taught how to mix, muddle and mash a selection of classic cocktails, taught by a professional mixologist, in a real cocktail bar! By the end of the event everybody will have been behind the bar to shake, rattle and pour. 

Format:
On arrival, guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbly and a flavoured vodka shot. The cocktail masterclass begins with an introductory talk on the history of cocktails, such as the origin of the word and interesting facts. Throughout the event the mixologist demonstrates how to make a selection of signature cocktails, followed by teams working together to recreate them with plenty of tasting opportunities.

Sample Cocktails:
Long Island Iced Tea, Raspberry or Bison Grass Mojito, Cosmopolitan, Russian Bride, Classic Bond Martini, Mudslide or a Strawberry Woo Woo, plus others.

During the session everybody gets a chance to shake, rattle and pour, behind the bar, using their new cocktail knowledge and bar skills. When guests aren’t making cocktails they’ll be competing against each other in cocktail themed team activities, such as a bar tool relay race, blindfolded challenge and, of course, shake offs.

The event concludes with everybody coming together to enjoy their creations and a final farewell flavoured vodka shot.

During the event, three rounds of drinks are served, with on average another one drink per person mixed while competing in the cocktail games. There are breaks to allow for the drinks service and mingling – the programme works ideally set over a dinner or snack platters.

The event concludes with prizes awarded to the ‘best bar team’ and an individual prize for ‘the best bartender’.

Guests will be given a mixology demonstration, showing a selection of classic and contemporary cocktails, using different methods to create the drinks including freepouring, shaking & straining, muddling & churning, layering and flair skills (and there will be plenty of tasters passed around for tasting).

Volunteers from each team will be asked to come behind the bar and make the cocktails. Teams will be scored on there efforts. 

Mixology Games
Each team will be presented with the Mystery Box, and asked to pick at random two ingredients from it. The box is filled with a variety of possible cocktail ingredients; from delicious to…difficult to mix into a great drink. (It can be done, ask your bartender about the famous Onion Ring Martini).

Using their newly acquired knowledge of cocktail mixing methods and exotic spirits and liqueurs they need to create their own cocktail. Groups can experiment until they have the perfect creation.

Teams will work together to mix their drinks …points will be awarded for style, taste, name, originality etc.  Groups present their drink alongside creating an advert for their new concoction.  If this is a team building exercise we can ask teams to create a cocktail to sum up the core value of their company’s brand.

Overview

How the Evening Works:

The intricate processes behind three of the world's most famous cocktails- the Mojito, the Martini and the Cosmopolitan will be introduced including a flair demonstration from the head bartender, so you can return as the office 'Tom Cruise'.

Quiz:
There's nothing like a bit of competition to get the creativity flowing, a spot quiz with the head bartender will require 4 people to get behind the bar like a pro and shake as fast as they humanly can and make a drink. The best drink will be judged on taste, presentation and name.

Cocktail Making and Teambuilding
Corporate teams of all sizes love cocktail classes as they are fun and relaxed and everybody can take part without having any previous experience or knowledge. This workshop will be a great way for newer team members to gain confidence by learning and demonstrating new skills, while the rest of the team will get to know each other in a relaxed and fun-filled environment.

Event Programme:
Your cocktail experience starts with a reception drink and an informative talk introducing your instructors and fellow team members. You will then split up into smaller groups and experience three different aspects of the wonderful world of drink fixing.

Everyone will experience the following:

International Cocktails
Shake up some of the most popular classic and contemporary concoctions from around the world including the Sling, Mule, Daiquiri, Bramble and many more. Alternatively, for those who prefer not to drink you can create some superb tasting fresh fruit smoothies and learn how to cut eye catching garnishes with a selection of exotic fruits.

The Knowledge
Experiment and layer the more exotic and rare spirits. Learn the density of different spirits, Liqueurs and juices and then create your own layered cocktail and shooter.

The Fun Flair
This is the art of moving and shaking! Our Flair School instructor will develop a small routine with each group to put into practice behind the bar. A great opportunity to impress your colleagues with the ultimate Tom Cruise moves!

The Competition
The best bartender from each group will fight it out to create the
perfect cocktail using their new knowledge from new skills learnt.
Prizes are given to teams for the most knowledgeable and the most inventive.

Duration:
This workshop usually lasts between 2-3 hours.

Your group with then be introduced to three classic cocktails: the martini, the Mojito and the Cosmopolitan. For each, you'll get a brief history and a demonstration, then it's over to you to make your own under the critical eye of the discerning judges.

Now it's up to you. In teams you will blend from the drinks available to create your own wonderful tasting concoctions and name them accordingly. From the sublime to the disgusting, your efforts will be judged by the professionals.

Teams will work together to mix their drinks …points will be awarded for style, taste, name, originality etc.  Groups present their drink alongside creating an advert for their new concoction.  If this is a team building exercise we can ask teams to create a cocktail to sum up the core value of their company’s brand.

Overview:
Watch and learn from professional cocktail mixologists, then after making a few well known cocktails, guests shop for ingredients and make their own. Throughout the event guests will learn about flavour profile and deconstucting of the spirits and be given various ingredients to squeeze, taste and smell. 

After an introduction and expert demonstration on how to use the cocktail equipment each group will make some well known cocktails and once they have mastered the equipment (or not) they will then select their own ingredients to adapt a well known cocktail to one of their own.

This event is a great way to bring people together creating an environment that promotes creativity, communication and co-operation among participants.

Format:
The professional resident Cocktail Master will demonstrate how to make a selection of cocktails. Then he will hand over to the group to have a try for themselves. Groups will need to copy the chefs examples and create a new cocktail of their own creation. This can be a competition style event if required with our cocktail Master and assistants being the judges.  The final cocktail creations can be served at pre-dinner drinks or as a final drink before guests depart.

Then it’s on to the team event where the group is divided, each team creating and naming their own cocktail before taking part in a fun cocktail quiz.

The cocktails and quizzes will be judged by the bartender and the winning team chosen.
