A Dragon Boat is a thirty or forty foot canoe-like vessel with an ornately carved dragon’s head and tail, a steerer in the stern keeping the boat on course, a drummer beating time and up to 10 people (30’ boats) or 16 people (40’ boats) sitting in pairs ready to paddle.
An ancient Chinese tradition with over 2000 years of history, it is now one of Britain’s fastest growing corporate activities.
Between 2 and 6 boats are usually raced at a time depending on the number of participants, the size of the water space, the time available and the objectives of the client.
Corporate dragon boat events are an exciting way of motivating and integrating staff from all areas of the company. Part of the sport’s amazing appeal is it’s ability to get everyone working together in a very short space of time giving a real and lasting sense of individual achievement and team spirit.
Colourful, dynamic and exciting, dragon boat racing is full of spectacle and pageantry but above all else, is great fun!

The minimum number of people needed to run this event is about 30 in London and 50 elsewhere in the country.
