Abseiling

Everyone will be given full instruction and a safety briefing before abseiling down the 44ft activity tower. The tower features two separate abseiling ropes running down it and the instructors will make sure you are competently making descents in no time. Once you've confidently completed a number of descents, the instructors will show you how to barrel down the tower in no time like a seasoned pro.
Assault Course
Expect to get wet and muddy as you tackle water hazards, cargo nets, tunnels, tyres, ropes and a number of other challenging elements.
Every group is given a very comprehensive heath and safety brief and demonstration prior to undertaking the course. This highlights all potential risks as well as showing the correct techniques to be employed thought out the course, including landing from height.
Canoeing
Take the group to the water in a Canoe, this activity will test a range of basic skills, and is full of fun.
Climbing Wall
What goes down can also go up! Using the same 44ft activity tower, fully qualified instructors will show you a series of different climbing techniques that will allow you to successfully scale the imposing tower. The artificial climb wall promises to offer a challenging experience that will have you reaching amazing heights in no time. The instructors are on-hand to offer physical demonstrations of the activity before participants are given the opportunity to get climbing themselves.
Bridge Building (water)
Plan, design and construct your own bridge using the supplied equipment to successfully cross the river, making sure all the while that you don't get wet! The objective of your mission is simple: As a team you must successfully cross the river located in the middle of the site. A successful mission is one where:
- All team members cross safely and are dry at the end of the session.
- Each team member feels valued and included.
Each team will have a working budget of £1000 to buy your equipment (certain equipment is compulsory). An equipment store is positioned near the crossing location - ran by the store master, you must negotiate for any equipment from him. Before you construct anything you must present a detailed plan of any construction and method of building - as well as roles and responsibilities - to the H&S officer. If unsatisfactory, you will not be able to construct until cleared. Good luck!
High Ropes Course
Set high above the forest floor, the course is designed to give you the chance to experience rope bridges, Tarzan swings and zip slides. After a short safety briefing and a bit of training in how to safely click on your harness, you will start your amazing aerial trek.
Laser Clay Shooting
Test your marksmanship by successfully hitting a series of fast moving clay targets. The instructors take pride in introducing novices to this exciting sport, with the aim to make you a competent marksman by the end of the session. There are 4 separate shooting points and either 4 or 8 people will be able to take to the meadow-based shooting range at any one time. Individuals will get a series of shots as they compete against their colleagues to gain the highest score.
The session will involve using several different types of trap (this affects the path, speed and direction of way the clay flies to simulate the movement of different types of animal; from a duck dropping onto a pond, to a bounding rabbits and cross flying pigeons).
Low Ropes Course
Give your reflexes a workout as you take on 15 individual challenges on a quality Low Rope Challenge Course set in the backwoods of this activity site. Participants will be required to complete the course from start to finish without touching the ground, negotiating such tricky challenges as Heebie Jeebies, Indiana Bridge, Postman's Walk and the Tension Traverse.
Meadow Archery
Live out your Robin Hood fantasies by grabbing a sturdy recurve or compound bow and firing off some speedy and lethal arrows. This ancient sport requires a steady hand and a good eye and is sure to raise the competitive spirit among your group.
A qualified instructor will be on-hand to give you a safety talk and offer instruction before you take to the large circular targets on the 15 metre archery range. 5 different shooters can be on the range at any one time and 3 separate competitions will be held: a numerical competition, an individual highest shot competition and a timed shoot. May the best marksman win!
Orienteering
Popular with corporate groups, orienteering is an activity which involves finding marked control points using a specifically prepared map to show the position of the controls. Instruction on basic navigation is provided and then you are off into the great outdoors.
Para Fan Descenders
Experience the incredible thrill of parachute jumping without having to throw yourself from a plane soaring 12,000 ft above the ground! The simulated parachute drop will have you leaping off into thin air from a tower that is a mere 24ft from the ground. A fan positioned above jumpers will slow down the descent to give you the sensation of reaching the ground after parachuting down from the heavens above. The fans have two speeds: fast and slow. Everyone will get to experience both speeds as they complete a series of jumps.
Rafting
Get your survival instincts to kick in as you are set the task of constructing and racing your very own raft. Teams will compete against each other as they test the buoyancy of their water vessels and have their race efforts timed on a 2 acre sports lake. Will you sink or swim? There's only one way to find out!
Teams are given approximately 30 minutes to build their raft before they compete in the lake race. Up to 4 rafts can race at once, each raft holding a maximum of 12 individuals.
Segways
The ultimate off road personal transporters are easy to master after a practice session with the instructor, teams then compete head to head driving through the slalom course to achieve the quickest time.
Zip Wire
If you've ever wanted to fly through the air like a super hero, here's your chance: soar through the air at high speeds on nothing more than a thin metal cable. Participants will be attached to a cable at the top of a 44ft activity tower before setting off at a speed of 30mph.
