Overview:
You've seen the entrepreneurs on Dragons' Den pitching for outrageous amounts of money to finance their hair-brained business schemes. Now it's your turn to put your thinking cap on and design a new product that will have our Dragons fighting to invest in you.

Den of Dragons is one of our mobile events, available at suitable venues all over the UK. There is a minimum spend of £2700 + VAT (excluding catering and venue costs) based on up to 20 people.

Format:
Working in teams (5-8) you must plan, design and build a new product for a specific industry within an allocated budget and time period.

Excellent team work is crucial in order to complete all tasks and make it to the pitch, where the Dragons will invest in the best pitch and business idea. An instructor will be allocated to each team, who'll help with generating ideas and give you tips about how best to utilise your budget and how to win over the Dragons'!

Tasks:
Teams' need to delegate and complete the following tasks before the pitch:  
 
Product ideas
Brainstorm ideas and develop the product.

Finance and Accounts
Budget wisely! The product needs to make the dragons' investment worthwhile.

Supplies Superstore
Use your bargaining skills to purchase materials.

Manufacturing
Design and build your product.

Sales, Marketing and Development
Who's going to buy it? How will they know about it? How much will they pay for it? What are future opportunities?

Pitch Planning
Planning is key. The Dragons will quiz you on everything, so have all of your facts and projected figures at your fingertips.

Teams' need to persuade Ernest Young a multi-millionaire jewellery retailer, who began selling rings from the boot of car his car, Sally Burrys, whose family worth is over £100 million, well-known for owning a large supermarket chain, and Dell Boy Laptop, who made his fortune in the computer industry.

Investment
After all teams have given their presentations, the Dragons decide which teams' invention deserves the £100,000 prize fund. The top two teams will receive medals with the top team receiving a trophy.
