Overview:
Prepare for a gripping night of intrigue and thrills with a tailor made Murder Mystery event. A brilliant option for team building or a fun corporate event, this activity will have your group assuming the roles of various characters embroiled in a gruesome crime. Everyone who participates will be considered a suspect - which one of you will finally be revealed as the murderer?

Stories:
Experience some unique and individual stories as written and performed by the Murder Mystery Weekends team. They can be provided and performed at any suitable venue and with a range of timetables to suit all clients. Groups can also have their own story written specially for them, or have an existing storyline adapted to include some of your details. Some story examples:

A Fishy Tale:
You are all members of a secret society which is meeting to vote for its annual awards. At the previous year's dinner, a suspicious accident meant the main award went to a surprise outsider. You are hoping that this year's event runs smoothly, despite the rumours and suspicions. Inevitably, it does not! Suitable for any type of event: parties, team building, conferences and in any time period: present day, 1960s, war time and 1920s are the most popular.

A Case of Bondage:
You are all secret agents waiting to hear who the traitor amongst your group is. However, the officer about to reveal names is murdered before the information is released. Is the real motive espionage or can it be something else like love, jealousy or money and greed? Great for wannabe spies and James Bond fans, this is suitable for parties and team building and set in the present day.

Death of Mary Christmas:
Who is trying to be a kill-joy in the festive season and ruin your celebrations? You are wary of the strange characters at your Christmas party, especially as some have criminal records and you are being blamed for something you have not done. When a prominent celebrity dies you believe you are being framed - or are you? Suitable for Christmas parties and set in the present day.

Return of the Black Vitesse:
You wonder about the mysterious hit man who suffered a family death years ago and is now seeking revenge on your friends. Convinced it is a case of mistaken identity, you must convince everyone you are innocent before you are the next victim. However, the links back to 30 years ago make you a prime suspect. Suitable for parties, team building and weekends. Great for '60s and '70s theme.

Witch Way to Revenge:
Have the ghosts of 1664 returned to haunt you? The links to the execution of real witches are baffling you, until you realise that you are one of their descendants. Could there really be spirits causing all your bad luck or is someone using it as a cover for disposing of their enemies? Suitable for parties, team building, weekends and Halloween, this can be set in any time period.

Evening Event:
Involves dinner or buffet, room hire and the murder mystery over dinner. Starts at 7-7.30 pm until 10.30 pm.

Overnight Event:
Involves dinner, room hire, bed & breakfast accommodation for one night and the murder mystery over dinner, starting at 7-7.30 pm until 10.30 pm.

Full Weekend Event:
Includes room hire for two nights, dinner, bed & breakfast in en-suite rooms and the murder mystery throughout. Starts Friday 7pm until noon on Sunday.

Daytime Event:
Can involve lunch, room hire, teas/coffees and the murder mystery throughout. Times: Either 10am until 4.30 pm, 9.00am - 1.00pm or 1.00pm - 5.00pm. This is an ideal option for Team Building days.

Event Timetable:
Timings and the agenda are flexible to fit in with your own requirements but the following timetable is a good guideline.
Arrival, guests are allocated characters.

- First presentation, setting the scene, unveiling of previous dastardly deeds and meeting other shady characters.
- Dinner begins. Between courses; 1. Further Developments. 2. A Body is Discovered. 3. Post Mortem Results.
- After dinner; sleuths are asked to formulate their theories and decide on the three Ms: MOTIVE, METHOD, and MURDERER.
- Revealing of the Answers. Clues and evidence are linked to your character, you are questioned and accused.
- A Champagne Prize is presented and certificates awarded.

Venues:
We can supply the full package and arrange a venue for you, whether it be a secluded country house hotel or a stylish private room in a city centre restaurant. Alternatively, if you would like to book your own venue we can provide the entertainment only.
