Overview:
Get your team's taste buds tingling with a fun filled, interactive cookery workshop that will challenge everybody, no matter how good (or bad) they are in the kitchen.
Food is a great way to bring people together and this event is all about having fun and interacting with colleagues, learning new skills (and showing off hidden talents) while cooking and eating a selection of scrumptious dishes. Challenging techniques (e.g. soufflés, bread, sauces) are usually incorporated into the activity so that participants leave feeling they have really achieved something.
Teams prepare a series of different recipes under the guidance of Professional Chefs, who will be on hand offering advice, tips and techniques to ensure that you make the tastiest food possible.
This is a great event with lots of scope for learning and being creative.
About the Cookery School:
This event takes place at a cookery school with state-of-the-art facilities, located in Milton Keynes. With six open-plan kitchens, each fully equipped with their own oven, sink, equipment and work space providing the perfect environment to have maximum time with the instructor and to practice cooking skills. None of the ingredients are pre-prepared, as practicing measuring and knife skills is essential to being able to replicate the dishes at home.
Format:
Before the event it is up to the organiser to choose a food theme from the list below. On arrival, guests will be greeted by a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice (depending on the time of day) and given a tour of the cookery school, the facilities as well as a briefing of the day.
During the event, guests will taste samples from the menu they are preparing in the kitchens. After preparing the courses, everybody will be seated in the dining area to enjoy the culinary creations. It's up to participates whether they choose to plate their own food (with the chef’s help) or be served by one of the hosts.
