Brief
Bouygues UK enquired to Chillisauce about holding a two day facilitated teambuilding event for their senior team with an overnight stay and evening entertainment. They wanted the event to incorporate a range of challenging and different team building exercises that would promote team spirit and motivate whilst enabling staff to trust each other, get to know each other and achieve together. Ultimately, Bouygues UK want to achieve longevity for the day.

What we did
We suggested and secured 4* venue Selsdon Park and created two days of teambuilding challenges. Our professional photographer was on hand to capture the highlights of the event, then we produced a bespoke desk calendar using the images, in order to keep the memories and messages of the event alive throughout the year.

On day one the group participated in the Crystal Challenge activity, this required the team to employ a broad range of physical, mental and dextrous skills and plenty of teamwork. Following lunch and the opportunity to reflect on and discuss their morning�s achievements, the group used the afternoon to address business issues in an informal environment generating ideas for progression. The informal setting continued for a traditional 3 course dinner and playing pub games. This aided the group in getting to know each other and benefit from the shared experience.

On day two we set a challenge filled treasure hunt for the teams around the grounds of Selsdon Park. This required team co-operation in problem solving, planning and communication through friendly competition. The day was wrapped up with an afternoon meeting, which gave the team a chance to address business issues as well as give feedback.

During all of the activities the group were encouraged to consider some of the following issues; leadership skills, levels of involvement and engagement, co-operation/team play, Planning vs action � thinkers and doers, any team dynamic changes and how differences of opinion are handled.

Feedback on the event

The dinner was a clear achievement as it demonstrated the interaction and cohesion of the group. The activities were pitched at the right level and were challenging enough for the group. Some employees remarked positively that in 10 years, they have never been treated this way.
