Overview:
If you're a bit of an action man, this driving and shooting combo day will be right up your street. Simply chose one motorised activity and one shooting event from the list below:
Powerturns:
If you've ever watched pikeys pulling wheelspins and doughnuts in a supermarket car park and thought the moves were pretty cool, but dignity stopped you from kitting yourself out in Reebok and jumping behind the wheel of souped-up Nova, a session in a Powerturn will give you the chance to pull all of those moves and more.
Powerturns are incredible fun and due to their unique configuration they have an unmatchable level of manoeuvrability. They are steered by the rear wheels which rotate at different speeds, so unless you master the steering quickly you could find yourself shooting up on two wheels at right angles! The two 200cc Honda engines run independently with right and left hand throttles so you can literally spin on the spot.
Hovercrafts:
You may have been on a hovercraft on a booze cruise, but unless you beat down the door and grabbed the controls from the pilot on the way home, you're unlikely to have driven one. Well, that's about to change.
After getting kitted out in all of the essential gear and being given a safety briefing, you'll get behind the wheel of the craft and under the tuition of expert instructors you'll (hopefully) get the hang of the controls fairly quickly.
The hovercrafts have 50bhp, 500cc engines and are capable of speeds of up to 60 mph, so your driving skills will be tested to the limit. You'll race over a challenging purpose built course which requires deft handling and the ability to floor it when required. Hovercrafts don't have any brakes so if you make a mess of steering the results could be spectacular!
Off Road Karting:
If you spend half your life stuck in traffic, or drive a Fiat Uno, this is your chance to fulfil your need for speed with some high octane off road karting.
These 400cc off road beasts are capable of speeds of up to 60 mph and have front and rear suspension, which will no doubt be put fully to the test as you career around the circuit!
Depending on the size of your group you'll race either head to head, in a team relay challenge or in time trails.
Crossbow Shooting:
If archery isn't violent enough for you then a crossbow shooting session should fit the bill. Crossbows are serious weapons and have the potential to do a lot of damage, so no messing around!
After a safety briefing, the instructors will give you a crash course in how to handle the crossbow, after which you'll be let loose with the weapon.
You'll be firing solid bolts at targets, so imagine you're aiming at your most hated enemy and blast him into the middle of next week!
Archery:
If someone says 'Archer', what do you think of? The biggest liar and worst novelist since the beginning of time, or a man shooting a bow and arrow? Well, whatever you think, fill your quiver full of arrows and nail some bull's eyes.
Archery doesn't score highly in the glamour stakes, but when it comes to a fun factor it's close to the top of the list. Always great to get some friendly rivalry going amongst your group, you'll be able to shoot until your arm falls off... not literally, but you be able to shoot plenty of arrows. Top shot gets the bragging rights; worst shot gets the beers in.
