Overview:
Go Mad in the Country is an interactive five-in-one event, combining elements of a murder mystery, treasure hunt, scavenger hunt, photo mission and a 'Famous Five' adventure.
This immensely enjoyable team event is ideal for developing key skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, delegation and the generation of problem solving ideas. It is also fully inclusive and suitable for all fitness levels so every member of your team can take part.
Format:
Murder briefing Your group will be divided into teams of up to 8 and whilst enjoying tea and cakes, our Detective Inspector will enter the room to inform you all of some shocking news- there has been a murder!!!!
Details are revealed about the murder victim and the suspects are introduced. Guests have to take notes and gather as much information as possible. Each team is given a digital camera to photograph evidence and a folder of clues and top secret documents.
Murder and Evidence Hunt
Teams will take part in the following:
Photographic Challenges
Teams will have to have their cameras at the ready to complete a selection of fun photographic challenges that will test their creativity.
Evidence List
All good detectives are resourceful, so you will need to be too! Make sure you hunt high and low for the vital pieces of evidence that have carelessly been left behind by our suspects. Definitely not as easy as you may think and essential as the DI needs these items before you can examine the body!
The Examination
If you think you know where the body is, present your evidence to our PC and you'll be allowed to enter the murder scene. Be prepared for a gruesome sight- but this is no time to be sheepish, you've only got five minutes to make notes and take photographs. Leave no stone unturned.
The Interrogation
Your evidence gathering and interrogation skills will be tested as you interview a number of the suspects. Armed with the information you've obtained, you will be given the opportunity to ask the suspects difficult questions about where they were at the time of the murder. You'll have five minutes to grill each of them and hopefully learn some vital information.
Evidence Tasks
Teams will have the opportunity to win more clues by completing a selection of team building tasks.
Team building tasks include:
Operation Countdown
Test your memories as you attempt to turn over 50 cards laid out face down on the ground in sequence. Only one person can race out to turn over one card at a time, replacing the card face-down unless it fits into the sequence.
Getaway Minefield
Teams have to successfully negotiate their blindfolded colleagues through a minefield, with the option of using unusual methods to communicate. Is this the escape route the killer is believed to have taken? If so, was it possible and how long would it have taken?
Observation Challenge
The ability to accurately recall events is an asset to every detective. This general knowledge test will reward teams for correctly identifying historical events.
Web of information
Negotiate your way blindfolded through a web of ropes and string. There'll be plenty of booby traps so it will be up to your teammates to guide you though without getting snared by the spider.
Pit of death
You have been stranded on an island and the only way back to safety is across a snake-infested pit. However, you only have the most basic equipment and you cannot lose contact with any of your teammates. Can you make it across without falling into the venomous pit?
Evidence Spill:
You have been sent to a top secret location to transport essential evidence to the testing lab but you have basic equipment to do so. Excellent teamwork and communication are required as well as some serious lateral thinking.
Who Dun It?!!
Each team now has to present a storyboard of their findings and present it, to unravel the mystery over tea/coffee and cakes. The detective then reveals the real murderer and the true course of events so guests can see just how close they were to cracking the case.
