Glasgow Chocolate Making Workshop

Overview:
Develop your skills and become a professional chocolatier creating your own handmade delights. Under expert tutelage you will make and decorate exquisite chocolates to your own unique recipes. You can make your chocolates individually or in teams with prizes on offer for best chocolate and best decorated lolly.

Format:
The event will start with a demonstration by a professional chocolatier who will talk you through the techniques required to produce the perfect choc. Then it will be your turn to produce unique ganache (cream/chocolate based filling) using a wide range of natural ingredients which you will pipe into chocolate moulds.

Whilst the chocolates are chilling, everyone will be taught how to professionally decorate chocolates using fine piping techniques. After a brief practice session, you'll put your new skills to the test in a lolly decorating competition.

The chocolate moulds will then be topped off and returned to the fridge. Whilst the chocolates are setting answers are given to the teams for the chocolate quiz which they should have been working on during the first part of the event.

The chilled chocolates will them be 'demoulded', and everyone will decorate their own chocolates, the best of which will be forwarded to the judging table. If you're taking part in teams, each team will have to name and come up with a logo and slogan for their products. The judges will mark the teams on the originality of their chocolates and the quality of their presentations.

Everyone will have their own box of chocolates (usually 20 chocolates) and a lolly which can all be beautifully wrapped to take home to impress your friends and family.
