Situated in 40 acres of landscaped grounds in the beautiful Chiltern countryside, which superbly complement the excellent clay shooting facilities.

This has the most extensive shooting layout in the UK and has been voted the Best Shooting Ground in the UK. With many and varied stands catering for both the novice and experienced shot, this is the ideal venue for all shooting events.

Clay Shooting
The school provides a huge range of diverse and exciting targets for you and your guests. Shooting takes place in teams of up to six and each team will have an instructor who will brief everyone about gun safety and the basic principles of clay shooting. The instructors are experts at getting novices to start ‘dusting’ the clays and low recoil cartridges are used for novices so that at the end of the day only memories, and not bruises, remain.

Half Day
A morning, afternoon or evening shoot with practice and tuition followed by a 24 bird sporting competition. Catering and half a bottle of wine per head is included in the price and consists of a light breakfast (if a morning shoot), lunch with wine which can be taken either during the pause or at the end of the day and afternoon tea.  Also included: 100 cartridges and clays per head, tuition, gun hire, hearing protection, baseball cap and public liability insurance.

A typical format would be as follows:

14.00 Arrive at shooting ground. Bacon rolls and Danish pastries with tea and coffee.
Division into teams followed by a briefing on the days events
14.30 Shooting commences with instruction and practice on a number of sporting stands.
15.45 Break for coffee in the Lodge.
16.00 Shooting re-commences with individual and team competitions.
17.00 High Tower Flurries.
17.30 Drinks followed by supper in the Lodge.
19.00 Coffee, prizegiving (optional) - depart.
