Overview:
Ready... Aim... FIRE! Clay pigeon shooting is a fantastic event to get the competitive juices flowing amongst your group. The aim of activity is simple- get the clay in your sights and blast it to smithereens! In this activity you'll get to combine the best of a regular clay pigeon shooting competition with clay pigeon snooker.
Your team will get a full safety briefing from the instructors before being let loose with a double barrel shotgun. Everyone will get a chance to have a practice with the weapons where the instructors will help them refine their techniques as they fire away at 15 clays.
Once everyone has their eyes in and feels confident with the gun, there'll be a head-to-head in a competition. Each competitor will get 10 clays and has to shoot down as many as they can. Expect competition to be fierce as everyone vies to be top gun.
Then the group will try their hands at event combines the best of snooker and clay pigeon shooting. We've slightly altered the format after a couple of unfortunate shooting incidents so instead of taking place in a snooker hall, the activity now takes place at the clay pigeon shooting range.
After a safety briefing from the instructors you'll get tuition on how to use the shot gun. Each competitor gets 14 shots and the rules follow that of conventional snooker. First you have to hit a red and once you've done that you'll have a go at shooting down a coloured clay. The point scoring follows that of snooker and the aim is to build as big a score as possible. However don't down the white or you'll be deducted points.
