4x4 Blindfold Driving near Chester

4x4 Blindfold Driving

Overview:
It's been illegal to drive blindfolded on public roads since 1987 when a driver wearing a sleeping mask caused a pile up on the M1. However, on private land, under the guidance of expert instructors it's perfectly legal to drive even if you can't see!

In groups of 4, you'll be behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery and will have to negotiate around a challenging off road course featuring steep banks, water traps and plenty of mud. Everyone will get to the don the blindfold and take a turn behind the wheel and when you're not driving, you'll be directing.

If you've been accused of being a backseat driver, you'll be able to put those skills to good use. The driver will be totally disorientated so it's up to the rest of the team to shout instructions. However this is easier said than done as helpful words like 'left', 'right', and 'stop' will be banned and replaced with other less obvious monikers. Excellent communication skills and trust are key, although it's fair to say if your team start screaming, it's probably time to hit the brakes!
