Cheshire is an attractive and affluent county with beautiful countryside, just south of the industrialised inner cities of Manchester and Liverpool. It is handily placed as a stop-off between the south of England and either Wales to the west or Scotland and the Lake District to the north with its own major tourist centre in the beautiful walled city of Chester. The word Chester means camp or fort from the ancient Briton Legacchestir - 'the camp of the legions' which was shortened to Chester. The county has some of the finest countryside in England and the visitor can take a pleasure boat along the River Dee where once Roman galleys sailed.
In rural Cheshire you will find towns and villages a-plenty with 'magpie-style' black and white half-timbered buildings, castles and ivy-covered churches amongst beautiful fields and scenery. Why not take a scenic walk and enjoy the relaxed pace of life in the green lanes of rural Cheshire or if you're more adventurous explore the many caves and potholes nearby.
Any town centre can be used as your base if you would like to take part in a treasure hunt, Spy Mission or take part in spy-themed team building activities.
If you would prefer an adrenaline-fuelled multiactivity day, head to the countryside where you can combine motorised activities (such as blindfold driving, 4x4 driving and quad bikes), field sports (such as clay shooting, archery and laser clays) and classic and original teambuilding challenges.
As part of an activity package, our event management team will be happy to put together:
