Overview:
A physical, technical and masterful flower arranging workshop. This activity really tests the boundaries of that 'comfort zone'. Skills in planning, construction and creativity are tested with hilarious results. Participants are often astonished by their own enthusiasm inspired by the task and always marvel at their achievements. Expect a fun and rewarding time.

How it works:
Demonstrations/ Part 1
Guests will be given instruction in some basic floristry skills through demonstrations by award winning florists.

Workshop 1
Participants will be invited to test those skills by making their first set piece creation. Guests work individually and have something to take home!

Demonstrations/ Part 2
Guests will be given instruction on large scale floristry. E.g. 12' tall arrangements or full archways etc (venue dependent). Tips and ideas regarding the mechanics and construction of large scale floristry are given. Roles for team members are suggested and not dictated.

Workshop 2
Guests split into their separate teams and receive their challenge. E.g. dressing a pillar, designing and building an arrangement to fill an alcove, designing a partition etc.

The team will be given planning time in which they determine how tasks are delegated. Who will volunteer to be up the ladder? Will they all decide on the design? Remember that an unsound structure, rushed early on, could leave a mess on the floor rather than a creation fit for a royal wedding! But meanwhile, the clock is ticking and who knows how the team in the other room are getting on...?

Finale:
Judgment day and a time for reflection The winning team will be rewarded for their efficiency, a sound structure and creative flair! Teams can swap stories and admire each other's creations over a drink.

- Attendance of at least one experienced florist per 10 guests for the duration.
- Provision of all materials
- Aprons to protect clothing (delegates to keep).
