Overview:
Do you spend days stuck behind a desk in an office longing to breathe in some fresh country air? Well, pull on your Wellingtons and Barbour jacket and get up close and personal with some farmyard friends.
If you've watched ‘One Man and His Dog' you'll know that using dogs to herd animals is tricky, but with a shepherd at your side you'll be taught how to direct a group of ducks around a course using only sheepdogs and a series of calls.
Our shepherd is a full time sheep farmer with a flock of 600 breeding ewes, and relies on his team of up to five dogs. You'll get to see the skill and dedication of the dogs first hand as they react to your calls and whistles, and with a bit of luck you'll be able to guide all of the ducks into their pen without any of them waddling off in the wrong direction.
