Overview:
'Project: make a difference' is a bespoke event that requires teams to get their hands dirty, working on specific projects that will leave a lasting legacy for a local community. This event is a good opportunity to make such a difference to worthy causes. 

Described as a cross between 'Ground Force' and 'Changing Rooms' this event requires hard work, creative thinking, team work, problem solving and working to deadlines.

This unique shared experience is the ultimate way to motivate employees where guests feel a real sense of achievement at the end of the day. Teams will be amazed at what they can achieve together, over just one day, and the event results will make a significant difference to others.

Event information:
These are real projects, for worthy causes, which require a great deal of work before the event, therefore we will only be able to provide full project details once the event is confirmed.  These activities before the event include research and planning to source and identify a suitable project for the team, liaison with the project beneficiary, site visits and risk assessments, securing required resources and all the pre-event planning and management.

On the day an experienced Event Manager, Events Team and qualified First Aider will be on-site to manage the event and ensure that teams have everything they need to successfully complete the challenge.

During the event, the event team will work alongside the team to assist and support them. All resources will be provided, such as tools and equipment plus overalls, gloves and personal protective equipment for the whole team.

Challenges can include anything from supporting a Hospice by painting patient rooms or pressure washing patios, to supporting a local community centre with a freshen up and make over of their building.

Here are examples of previous 'project: make a difference' events:

School for autistic children
Teams transformed an area of wasteland at the school into a sensory garden. 

Charity 
Teams spent the day supporting a charity create their marketing materials. 

Children's youth centre
The group spent the day giving the outdoor space a complete make-over turning it into an enjoyable social area which included building a brick barbecue, laying a patio and planting a flower bed.

Home for the blind
The day involved turning a disused area into office space for the fundraising staff, a garden make over and preparing rooms for new residents.

Scout activity centre
Teams provided a complete make-over of their local scout camp site which included everything from making benches, renovating the assault course and a freshen up of the site’s buildings and camping areas.

Hospice
The project required teams to lay turf over a disused area, renovating garden furniture, power washing patios and gardening.

Overview:
Hit Squads are unique community events designed to provide larger teams with a fast-moving, fun and rewarding activity that really makes a difference to the local and wider community. With a glitzy start, worthwhile middle and a fun and often moving end, the Hit Squads provide teams with a meaningful event that supports worthy causes and provides guests with a really different team experience.

Event Details:

Sample Format:
Hit Squad events kick off with a fun and upbeat ‘game-show style’ activity as teams battle it out to win their very own mystery brief case. Each case contains details of the Hit Squad tasks that each team must complete.

After a brief planning session, the teams are whisked off to their Hit Squad locations via the waiting transport to complete their tasks which could include anything from decorating a local community centre to running a bingo party for pensioners at a sheltered housing project.

Once on site, it’s down to the team members to work together to ensure that they successfully complete their challenge in the allocated time. Each team will have an experienced instructor on hand to assist the teams and provide any further support they may require.

At a specified time, each team returns to the main venue in the fleet of vehicles and prepares for the final challenge - a Hit Squad Presentation.  During this time, each team will be given two minutes to give a short presentation on their challenge to the rest of the groups.  Teams are encouraged to be as creative, animated and comical as they like!

Hit Squads are totally unique events that really make a difference and provide larger teams with a meaningful and worthwhile event. In addition, they challenge teams to work together for the good of the community and enable a huge amount to be achieved in a relatively short space of time.

Overview:
Eco House is a teambuilding activity, which encourages groups to engage with issues of environmental sustainability in the home whilst experiencing a hands on, informative and rewarding teambuilding exercise.

The aim of the challenge is to raise awareness in the importance of reducing carbon emissions in the home, through modifications and simple day-to-day changes we can all make.

Many of the learning outcomes from our Green Events can be applied to the work environment, and elements of your CSR Policy can be included to enhance the event. Our green events will motivate a sense of personal responsibility towards improving your company's environmental credentials and share your vision of a greener future.

Format:
The event begins with a brief introduction to climate change. Next, and equipped with blue prints and building materials, each team is given the challenge to design and build a model eco-house.

Throughout the game teams will earn carbon credits through mental challenges, which can be used to purchase environmental modifications for their house (e.g. Solar panels, insulation etc). The challenge ends in a presentation of each home to the rest of the group followed by feedback and prizes for our winning eco home.

The finished houses can be taken away by the group at the end of the day, perhaps as gifts for their children.

Overview:
'Local Action, Global Reach' is a truly unique event that is not only fun, but literally changes the lives of children in the UK and developing countries, around the world. 

This event is about guests working together to create, produce and pack unique 'gift boxes' for distribution to deprived children. This is a meaningful and worthwhile day that will have a really positive impact on children, all over the world.

Format:
The event starts with a number of creative team challenges requiring guests to work together to earn ‘fun money’. The challenges involve anything from identifying famous landmarks to building crazy vehicles from junk.

Once the challenges are completed, the doors open to the 'shop of dreams' where teams grab a basket, snap up the bargains of the day and purchase child friendly gifts using the fun money earned in the challenges. 

Teams then build, decorate and pack boxes of gifts bought from the shop. All boxes will be stacked in the 'distribution area' ready for sending to the children. Seeing the finished boxes all together always gives groups a real sense of achievement.

The event finishes with teams hearing about how their efforts will ‘make a difference’, either by hearing from a representative of the beneficiary chairty (if it is in the UK) or by watching a moving, specially prepared film, showing children in third world countries receiving unique gift boxes (if it's a global charity).

Overview:
The Charity Challenge is a unique team event that promotes team work and provides real benefits through
‘fun and fundraising’. Not only does the team have a great time, a charity also benefits from their efforts as teams work together to undertake a range of fun challenges - all with the aim of earning money for a charity of their choice! A superb option for teams looking for a fun activity that can also bring wider benefits to a worthy cause.

Format:
The Charity Challenge is about having fun with a purpose. During the event, each team will work together to complete a number of upbeat challenges which could include anything from balloon modelling or solving a murder to designing their version of the Sydney Opera House!

As part of each challenge, the team is rewarded with unique 'Charity Chips' - how many will depend on how well each team works together to complete the tasks.

At various times during the event, teams will have an opportunity to bank their 'chips' which will be converted into real cash and at the end of the event, a final figure will be totalled for the whole group and the results announced to the team.

This final amount will then be added onto a presentation cheque made out to a charity of your choice.

Where possible (and if we have details of your chosen charity in advance), we can arrange for a representative of the charity to join us on the day to receive the cheque and provide a short overview
on how the money raised is likely to be used to benefit the organisation. The Charity Challenge is a fun event that can be delivered in a range of flexible formats to meet your specific needs.
