Overview: Grip on tight and get ready to experience the UK’s fastest growing and most exhilarating extreme water sport – Zapcats! Feel the awesome power and handling of these amazing inflatable 75Kg catamarans as they pull 3G turns around a marker buoy – enough force to make you start thinking that last tequila shot you had the night before mightn’t have been such a good idea! The intensity of these boats is such that 5 minutes will feel like an hour; any more will feel like a day! The Format: With a power to weight ratio of 340bhp per tonne, you are going to have an adrenalin pumping, action filled ride- not as a passenger but as a co-pilot, as it is your responsibility to balance the boat for the turns! After a full briefing your Activity Days will be kitted out in drysuits, lifejackets and helmets as safety is paramount. From there you’ll head off on a high speed adventure, pushing the limits in an experience that you will never forget. Among other things, expect to be pulling 90 and 180 degree turns at 40+mph! Zapcat sessions are done in 10 minute blocks and each participant can expect a minimum of 20 minutes ride time, usually as a co-pilot as physically most people cannot cope with any more. Depending on the time available, on-the-day conditions and the instructors’ and safety officer’s discretion, participants may get a chance to actually drive one of these powerful machines. This experience will use one high powered 10.5m Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) and two Zapcats per 12 people.
