Event Overview:
The karting grand prix is the staple diet of most stag dos and group events – and for good reason. The grand prix event provides excellent value for money and never fails to entertain, however many times you have done it. The venue has electronic lap timing to enhance each race and ramp up the competition element. If you fail to win the race you can always get as much satisfaction by setting the fastest lap time

Format:

Endurance Race
The endurance race format is a team event (generally 2-3 to a team). The object is to cover the greatest number of laps in the allotted time.  Each driver spends approximately 25 minutes at the wheel (including 5 minutes practice), which means that in teams of three the race itself will be one hour long. All teams are on the track at the same time so overtaking, pit stops and strategy play a huge part in determining the eventual winner. A display screen near the pits keeps everyone up to date on the leaders and slowcoaches. A challenging 550m indoor track with a 90m straight, tunnels, a bridge and an underpass, this track is one of the biggest in the north of England. All of these 200cc JB karts are tested weekly to match them for speed so there can be no arguments over having a better kart!
This is a members only track. You will become a member for 12 months after we book you in.

Approx 1½ - 2 hours
Start time usually 12 or 2pm.

Overview:
There's nothing quite like a good karting session to get you and the rest of the group in the mood for plenty of wisecracks and banter. The competitive nature of the event gets everyone in high spirits, and provides a great adrenaline rush. It'll provide a chance for those in the group who don't know each other too well to bond and get to know one another - which is a successful recipe for an epic day out!

The Track
This superb venue provides a 550 metre track demanding enough to test all drivers yet still offering plenty of overtaking opportunities. The tarmac is 6.5m wide at all points with 3m grass runoffs on both sides and incorporates eight bends, three of which are taken at high speed. A special type of blacktop, which does not soften in the heat of summer, has been used in order to provide maximum grip and fast lap times. Concrete curbs and 2 metre wide rumble strips also enhance the racing experience.

The Karts
The karts are JB Revolution pro-karts with twin Honda GX160 four stroke engines of 5.5Hp each. Gearing is set to give a top speed of 50mph, although if the track were longer they could accelerate up to 70mph plus.  That’s pretty quick when your bum is only a few inches off the deck.

The Race

Overview:
Clench your fists and grit your teeth, it's competition time. Any red-blooded male worth his salt will be itching to get behind the wheel and show his teammates that when it comes to burning rubber, he's a steaming mean, speeding skidmark machine. Wait... No. Not like that.

This Iron Man race will sort out the men from the boys. Split into 2 teams, you'll take it in turns to smash up this cool outdoor track. Once you arrive, you'll choose your teams, get yourself geared up in the full safety helmet and overalls, then it's time to get your game face on, and steel your nerves. Each team will battle it out on the track, racing to compete in single-engine karts for the title of IronMan King

Format:
- 10 min practice, then the 30 min race begins before swapping over.
(Groups can choose if they'd rather swap over every 15 mins)

Duration:
 - Please allow a full hour for the event.

A challenging 300m indoor track with a 90m straight. All karts are tested weekly to match them for speed so there can be no arguments over having a better kart.

The Race Formats:
Mini Eliminator (8 -16 drivers):
Qualifying laps – 5 laps
Race laps – 20 lap race
Finals – A & B finals 25 laps
Trophy for 1st in final.

Mini Grand Prix (12+ Drivers):
Practice laps – 5 mins.
Race laps – 3 x 6 lap heats (all drivers)
Finals – 1 x 10 laps for A final, other finals 8 laps.

The Karts:
200cc Karts JB karts.

Overview
This superb outdoor centre is the ideal place to try your hand at karting. The circuit is exhilaratingly quick and can be used in wet or dry weather. The computerized system incorporated into the karts will provide lap times, average speeds and other race data.

The Karts
Are 240cc single engine Biz karts, which reach up to 50 mph on the straight.

The Track
470m long and features a long downhill straight and an s-bend section. It is also floodlit to allow evening races.

Grand Prix
Between 12 and 40 drivers can take part in this event. Once booked, you will be required to sign on at the agreed time & after the drivers briefing you'll get underway with a 5 minute practice session. Six 8-lap heats will follow for each driver with the top 6 drivers progressing to a 10-lap final. With six karts in each heat, each driver will get a chance to start from every position in the grid so no one gains an unfair advantage. A presentation in the fully licensed bar will follow with trophies for the top three drivers.

Overview
There's nothing quite like a bit of head-to-head rivalry with your mates. They say that nice guys come last, so the question is: do you have the competitive instinct and controlled aggression needed to finish first? Or are you happy to look down the tailpipe of your pal as he passes the chequered flag? No one wants that on their record for future pub banter. 

Forget about speed limits and points on your licence, put your foot to the floor and burn rubber around the one of the city's  great karting tracks. Karting was made for large groups and whether you are racing individually or in teams everyone’s eyes will be on the leader board to see who’s on top.
 
This track features both indoor and outdoor sections, so it's a full-on karting experience where different weather conditions require true skills to master. So suit up, strap in, grab the wheel and unleash the speed demon inside!

Format
Each driver will receive 5 practice laps, then in teams they will race for 30 minutes per person, each team shares one kart – it is up to the team how often they change the driver . The team that complete the most laps within the time limit will be victorious. - This event really is an endurance test and groups need to know that it will involve a lot of driving – for the serious karter/adrenalin junkie.

Duration
Allow approximately 2-3 hours for this event, depending on group size.

Notes
This event can be combined with other activities such as clay shooting, zorbing or tank driving at the same site.
