Overview:
Go full throttle at this fantastic quad bike racing venue. In the majority of centres only safaris or time trials are on offer but here you get to race the quads head on.
The Bikes:
The powerful Yamaha Breeze 125ccs will allow you to burn up the track and cruise past your competitors.
The Course:
At over one mile long, it's one of the longest in the country and can accommodate at least 15 quads racing at the same time. You can blast down the straights, negociate tough corners, snake through s-bends and catch some air time on the jumps.
The Format:
You will be briefed and shown how to work the quads by ACU qualified instructors. You will then be kitted out with helmets, gloves and body armour. Then on to the race:
Groups of 15+ You'll be divided into teams of three competeing head to head against the other teams in a frantic, flat-out endurance race with the winning team being the one to complete the most laps in one hour. Each driver will complete three laps before heading for the pits to change over with their next team mate.
Groups of less than 15- Everyone gets let loose on their own quad for 30mins, you can choose the formatting of race style to suit your group.
Post Race:
The three fastest in the smaller event, or the winning team in the larger event, will be presented with medals, champagne and the adulation of the crowd. The slowest can console themselves with a burger and chips from the on-site cafe.
Duration:
The event will last around 2 hours for a group of 15.
Notes:
- Food is not included but is available on site (For example, a burger and chips is around £5)
- Participants must wear suitable safe clothing - long sleeved shirts, jean and shoes. No T-shirts or shorts.
- Disposable overalls are available to purchase for £5.
