Event Overview
Your mate may be preparing to settle down with the girl of his dreams for the rest of his days, but that’s no reason why he can’t spend at least one afternoon acting like Eddie Irvine. This centre has the longest track and fastest karts in the Southwest, giving you the closest thing to Formula One without an irritating German in front of you.
The Track
The 800m track comprises of a tricky miss-shaped corner, two chicanes, a very rapid curve leading to a sweeping corner that will have your heart in your mouth and an s section.
The extended course (1200m) includes a bridge.
The Karts
400cc Honda twin engined karts producing a bottom-clenching top speed of 70mph.
The Race Format
The Grand Prix (12+ Drivers)
Practice Laps – 5 min.
Race Laps – 4 x 4 lap heats (all drivers)
Final –6 lap final (all drivers)
(Every person will take place in a final, which final they are in will depend upon their positions in the heats. This way, everyone gets the same amount of racing and the finals take place between drivers of relatively equal standard. The top three in the ‘A’ final receive trophies.)
Mini Grand Prix (6-12 Drivers):
Practice Laps – 5 min.
Qualifying – 5 min.
30 lap race with all drivers on the track.
