Overview:
The best of both worlds - an invigorating swim and scramble along the majestic Cornish coastal cliffs plus a fang about on a very vicious power boat.
Coasteering:
This Coasteering is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser that combines swimming, climbing, scrambling, and cliff jumping and takes you to otherwise inaccessible parts of the Cornish coastline. Groups will be kitted up in wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy aids and given a safety talk before taking to the water and swimming out towards the headland (its not that far!
). From there you will make your way along a cliff face and venture into numerous caves where you'll come across a series of blowholes and whirlpools. At certain places during the trip you will use the push of the swell to clamber up onto the rocks. Then scramble up the cliffs and prepare to go into ‘Bomb' mode as you take a thrilling leap 40ft (20ft if you are a pussie) off the cliff back into the surf below! The instructor will take the first leap to show the rest of the group how it's done, before those that are game follow suit. A real test of stamina and courage!
Notes:
Runs between May and Oct only.
Zap Cat Power Boating:
Blast off from this privately owned beach, surrounded on 3 sides by 200ft cliffs, in one of the wickedest boats on the water. These semi-inflatable wave skimmers travel at up to 40 knots, literally bounce off waves and turn without losing any speed (just the odd lunch!).
Format:
The driver will take people out 2 at a time for the ride of their lives before dropping them back to the beach with the rest of the group. We recommend that you combine this activity with one of the other brilliant cliff or water based activities available at this site in order to keep everyone occupied whilst they are not in the boat (please ask for details).
Duration:
Total of 2.5 hour
