Overview:
It wouldn't be unfair to call Magaluf the cultural capital of the Spanish islands, far from it...it'd be totally absurd. Loud, boozy and brash, this totty soaked destination has "Stag-do" written all over its sunburnt face. Nicknamed "Shagaluf" for reasons that have nothing to do with thick rugs, the lads really can't fail to have an absolute stormer of a time.

Boozing, clubbing, sun bathing, beaches, watersports and a barrage of incredibly hot, clothing shy, drunken fitties all come together for a wild party no amount of alcohol could ever erase from your memory.

Getting There:
You can fly to Majorca from most major UK airports. Palma de Mallorca Airport is a 15 minute drive away from Magaluf. We highly recommend booking your flights as early as possible. The later you leave it, the more you'll end up paying! Flight time is around 2 hours 20 mins.

Getting Around:
Magaluf is easy to get round using nothing but those trustworthy ham and eggs - whether you're wandering the ‘strip' where the bars are or strutting your stuff on the beaches. A good bus service will whip you to your destination in a jiffy if you're all walked out. Cabs are everywhere, just make sure to agree a price before you jump in.

Daytime Activities:
Apart from sleeping off that record breaking hangover, there's a lot to do during the day here. Crazy golf, kayaking, mountain biking, paintball, sailing, waterparks to name but a few and that's not even touching on sandcastle building or ‘spot the topless walrus'.

Nightlife:
There are tons of bars and nightclubs in Magaluf and many top DJs have played at the resort, including Judge Jules and that tough nut Tim Westwood. Night-life in Magaluf is centred around the Punta Ballena strip. The largest nightclub in the resort comprises two floors, the lower of which regularly puts on foam and popcorn parties. The club claims to feature "the world's largest foam machine" and so, it follows, the wettest girls in any club in the world...

Eating:
There is multiple choice when it comes to food as well as those good old life-saving 3am fast food outlets which are dirt cheap. Our recommended belly filling establishments include Ness Beach Club, Geordie Pride & The Daiquiri Palace. Food standards in these and other restaurants is normally very good and most offer a wide range of cooking styles from traditional Spanish to traditional English. One things for sure you won't go hungry and meals cost on average €12.

Drinking:
There are well over 100 bars in and around Magaluf & Palma Nova. The average beer price is €2 per beer with Cocktails around €4 and sprits somewhere in between. Many bars will have some promotions so keep looking out for the best deals so you can get twatted for the best prices.

Laws:
In an effort to control the excesses, the local council banned organised "pub crawls" that caused such havoc, so, to get round that, pub crawls are just called by different names like "booze runs"...ingenious.
Although the laws are vague, women are legally bound to show more leg than a Christmas turkey and hike their cleavage up to their chin - which makes sense as you'll need somewhere to drink your shots from.

Weather:
The Magaluf weather is what you would expect of a Mediterranean tourist beach destination, the summers are hot and dry and the winters are mild and reasonably dry. At the height of the summer in July and August the daytime temperatures can reach 30ºC which is more than hot enough for sunbathing without being too uncomfortable but just enough to get nice and toasty. Remember, girls love a lobster.

We recommend you buy some Euros before you depart, but there are plenty of places to change money in town and ATM machines where you can get cash out, so don't forget your cards.
Oh, and Magaluf is pretty damn cheap if you have a taste for beers and takeaway.
