Overview:
If you're impressed by the flumes at your local swimming baths, Madrid's aquapark will blow you out of the water. Located in the mountains overlooking the city, this is one of the biggest water parks in Europe, so slip on your favourite pair of speedos and prepare to get wetter than an otter's pocket.
The park features an adventure lake, wave machines, enourmous water slides and thrilling downhill courses, and it's the perfect way to have a laugh and keep cool when the sun is blazing. It's like being at a beach resort but in the middle of the mountains but unlike the beach where you can fry in the heat, the park is cooled by winds sweeping off the mountains.
If you've had one drink too many the night before, are a bit of a wimp or are allergic to water you can chill at one of the complex's bars and top up your sun tan whilst your thrill-seeking mates ride the rapids.
