There's nothing quite like a bit of cut-throat rivalry with your mates, and this type of high end kart racing encapsulates it perfectly. It’s said that nice guys come last, so the question here is do you have the competitive instinct, controlled aggression and, above all, the kahoonas required to finish first? Or are you happy to gaze meekly down the tailpipe of your pal as he outfoxes you up the inside and sails onto the chequered flag and glory?

The Karts:
The boys in the pits have just taken charge of a new fleet of some of the most advanced general usage karts available.  These 390cc babies are no pussycats and, in the right hands, are capable of hitting an awesome (and scary) 60mph when fully wound out.

The Track:
This snaking 1050m monster is challenging, wet or dry. It needs respect and sensible use of the throttle when laying down the power on the back end of the bends, too much and you spin, not enough and you're behind.  The 200m back straight, flowing into a broad sweeping hairpin, allows you to really drop the hammer and tests your manhood with regard to how late you leave the braking.

The fully undercover combined Pitts / Viewing area allow for a close up look at the commotion of the driver changes and have an electronic lap time and position display. 

Endurance Team Racing:
After kitting up and a quick safety briefing drivers, will be divided into teams of 2 and given a short run on the circuit to get a feel of the karts and the corners.

From there the flag will drop and you’re off on a 1 hour non-stop ‘Le Mans’ style race.  Which ever team (up to 20 karts on the track at any one time) has the most laps racked up on the computer scoring system when the clock stops is the winner.  Your arms and shoulders will start to go after about 8 laps of wrestling with the circuit, so well managed pit stops and driver changes will be key to your chances.

A presentation follows the race with trophies for the top 3 teams and a bottle of bubbly to spray for the winners.

Duration:
- 2 hours on-site
- 1 hour of driving per team (30 mins per person)

Forget about speed limits and points on your licence, put your foot to the floor and burn rubber around the one of the city's  great karting tracks. Karting was made for large groups and whether you are racing individually or in teams everyone’s eyes will be on the leader board to see who’s on top.

The new 450m circuit features tight hairpins, a double underpass and speedy straights- nail the high-speed corners and you'll be odds-on for a quick lap, get it wrong and you'll have a time that would embarrass your grandmother. Can you post a new lap record?

So suit up, strap in, grab the wheel and unleash the speed demon inside!

Format
Le Mans Race Format:
The race is conducted in a 75 minute non-stop endurance format in the style of Le Mans. You will be split into teams of 3 or 4. The team that completes the most laps at the end of the session is the winner, while those coming in last can expect to be slated for the rest of the weekend. There are usually 8 karts on the track at any one time. Endurance racing allows teams to choose how long each driver spends on the circuit. It's all about strategy, pit stops and teamwork.

Alternative Race Format:
On the rare occasions that there are not enough drivers to run the Le Mans Race you will have exclusive use of the track. The alternative race will be a 'Mini Grand Prix' - this replacement format will not compromise your driving time. You will be alerted in advance if this is the case.

Duration
- Event last 2.5 hours with briefing
- At least 30 mins racing time per driver

- Each member of the group will have to purchase a balaclava on site for £3.50

Laser Combat
Overview:
The perfect activity for those looking to experience the thrill and adrenalin associated with paintball without any of the risks. Using state of the art laser beam technology you can play out all your action and adventure dreams in a purpose built laser tag arena. There are no projectiles so no risk of impact or bruising, no messy paintballs - but you still get all the thrill of the chase.

The great thing about laser tag is that there are no additional costs involved. All players get multiple lives and all the ammunition is included in the entry cost.

Duration:
30 minutes

Need for speed:
Clench your fists and grit your teeth: it's competition time. You'll be roaring around this state-of-the-art track on some seriously fast karts. The professional circuit has a tarmac surface incorporating two straights, five right hand and two left bends. Measuring approximately 700m and with a rise of some 20 ft at the paddock end the pro karts can obtain speeds of up to 68mph! 

Plenty of opportunity to overtake and a track designed to really test your driving prowess, prepare yourself for a cheek-rippling, adrenaline-pumping, rubber-burning blast of a time!

Iron Man:
The event consists of a 3 lap warm up session behind the pace kart followed by a rolling start in to fully marshalled racing conditions. The object is simple... race to win, winner takes all.

Duration:
30 minutes (45 minutes & 1 hour also available)

It's all about strategy, pit stops and teamwork.

Notes:
- Start times on a Saturday: 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm
- Allow 2 hours for this event
- Race not exclusive

The new dual-layered track features tight hairpins, a double underpass and speedy straights- nail the high-speed corners and you'll be odds-on for a quick lap, get it wrong and you'll have a time that would embarrass your grandmother. Can you post a new lap record? - as it stands, if you can break the 24 second lap, you'll be up there with the best!
