Overview:
Mountain biking is rapidly becoming the most popular Alpine adrenaline sport and it's not difficult to work out why. For a thrilling, heart-in-mouth experience, hurtling down the side of a mountain on the back of a bike is hard to beat.
Each member of your group will be equipped with a top class mountain bike, a helmet and will be given a safety briefing by a qualified mountain bike guide. You'll travel into the mountains by ski lift, so there's no need to worry about knackering yourself out pedaling up horrendous inclines! Led by your guide you'll traverse the challenging rocky course, all you have to do is keep up, which is easier said than done.
The brilliant mountain trail has been cut by hand, but isn't specifically designed for bikes meaning that it throws up plenty of different challenges. The rolling single track features granite drop offs, tight switchbacks and exhilarating steep chutes, so if your idea of a bike ride is a pedaling around the village green with your friends from the local nunnery, you're probably better off giving this activity a miss.
If you are struggling slightly after a night on the town there'll be plenty of places for you to stop off and have a drink or a snack on the way down. You'll also get plenty of opportunities to take a few snaps of the picturesque scenery, so don't forget your cameras!
