The Big Daddy of British seaside resorts, you just can't top Blackpool for wild, unrepentant abandon. For those of you who prefer a less candy-floss-coated style of activity there are some fantastic motorsports nearby and, in Blackpool, you're on the doorstep of the Lake District for outdoor pursuits.
